Extremely compact wood, characterized by a fairly good texture and mainly twisted fibres.
It has a good resistance and a fair fissility. It has a very good durability.
The working of this wood is quite difficult, it is advisable to prepare pre-holes for screws and nails.
It is mainly used for naval, road and mechanical constructions, roof trusses, supporting structures and pavements.
